Pre-Treatment Prep

In order to epilate hair successfully you must have enough growth that it can be tweezed after epilation.

Avoid abrassive skin facials or chemical peels one week prior and post-treatment.

Avoid caffeine before treatment as this can cause your nerve endings to be hyper-sensitive enhancing the feeling/reaction to treatment.

To decrease sensitivity you may take your regular pain reliever prior to treatment.

Remove deodorant from axilla (armpit) and cleanse skin before treatment.
Post-Treatment Prep

Avoid direct sunlight, pools, hot tubs, and increased sweating (work out) on the same day of treatment and up to 24 hours after and until redness and inflammation has disappeared.

Avoid abrasive skin facials/ and chemical peels one week pre/post treatment.

Avoid regular facials/exfoliation 48 hours before and after treatment.

Maintain cleanliness by keeping your hands away from the area that has been treated and continue at home with your regular cleansing schedule morning and night.

Avoid make-up or anything that may clog pores for 24 hours after treatment.

Wear sunscreen to protect area after 24 hours if you will be in direct sunlight.
What to Expect

Relatively short healing time

Slight swelling/inflammation around follicle.

Occasionally a small scab may form around follicle. It is VERY IMPORTANT TO REFRAIN FROM picking, scratching, or rubbing the scab. Picking may result in skin pitting; this may not heal properly and leave a scar-like pit in skin.

Infrequent and rare cases, bruising can occur in extra-sensitive areas.
